Terry in Prison: Consider Giving to Coaching: Life Matters TODAY!

CLM-12-3-19-smallDear Friends,Perhaps the greatest gift I get to experience in my work with Coaching: Life Matters is when I get to share the good news of God’s unfailing love with those who are hurting and hopeless. For over a year now, Coaching: Life Matters has been partnering with an educational program called The Academy, led by Joanna Lampa. The Academy is a nine-week faith based intensive program offered to women experiencing incarceration. The curriculum aims to improve the physical, mental, and spiritual health of participants. The goal is to empower participants with the tools to ‘stay out of their own way’, invest in leadership skills, and accompany them on the journey to healing so that participants never return to incarceration.Because this partnership opportunity has been so enriching for Coaching: Life Matters, I want to share a personal and profound experience we had with one of the female inmates named *Tammy. When I first met Tammy, she lived with a hardened and hopeless worldview. Not once in her entire life had she heard the greatest story on earth, the story of Jesus’s love and sacrifice. After we had the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus’ story with Tammy and facilitate her Core Story—her heart began to awaken and her eyes opened to the reality of love.Tammy discovered and accepted the fact that she was deeply beloved and cherished by her Creator and that she had immeasurable worth. Tammy came to understand that God never gave up on his pursuit of her, no matter how dark her world was. While Tammy was unable to graduate from The Academy due to an untimely death, she was able to graduate into the Kingdom of Joy before her earthly departure.

The story of Tammy is just one of many stories I could share with you about how Coaching: Life Matters is reaching into the dark places of this world to share the light of hope. We bring the Core Story tool and curriculum to veterans, couples, individuals, executives, trauma survivors, etc. And no matter who we are working with, our mission remains the same. We exist to help and equip people from all walks of life to discover their immeasurable value and worth.

As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are in a unique position as we do not have to charge people for our services. Yet, as we end this impactful year, we are asking our friends to prayerfully consider financially partnering with us—because it is your generous donations that keep the doors of this organization open. Please consider making your tax-deductible donation today at donatelifematters.com. With joy and thanksgiving,Terry S.
