Week 41 Managing Your Expectations
1 Corinthians 1:27-31
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” NIV
Week 42 Marriage and Faith Go Together
Ephesians 5:31-33
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. NIV
Week 43 What Is Biblical Submission (Part 1 of 3)
John 15:12-13; Ephesians 5:21
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. NIV
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. NIV
Week 44 What Is Biblical Submission (Part 2 of 3)
Galatians 3:28; 1 Peter 2:18
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. NIV
Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, NIV
Week 45 What Is Biblical Submission (Part 3 of 3)
Colossians 3:15-19
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And
whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. NIV
