Week 5: Giving and Receiving in Marriage

Acts 20:35; Colossians 3:18-19; Hebrews 4:15-16

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” NIV

Wives, understand and support your husbands by submitting to them in ways that honor the Master. Husbands, go all out in love for your wives. Don’t take advantage of them. (The Message)

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. NIV
