DR. TERRY S. SMITH
PRESIDENT
Terry’s quest for his own personal answers and the desire to help others led him to a Masters in Counseling, a Masters of Theology, and a Doctorate in Personality, Religion, and Culture from Boston University. He has spent over twenty-five years counseling and teaching.
For the last 26 years he has been working in corporate and church settings helping build safe communities. He is President of Coaching. Life Matters (a non-profit educational organization committed to removing barriers to healthy relationships). He has authored two books: “Delta Blues From Darkness to Light” and “Core Story Booklet” and co-authored a third titled "Being Better at Being Married: Building a Deeper Relationship Through Mutual Understanding.”
Terry has lived in Nashville, Tennessee since 1994. He is married and has four daughters and thirteen grandchildren. He and his wife also provide marital and premarital enrichment coaching; work with soldiers with PTSD; and provide help to individuals and families in crisis. He works in prisons with the Heart Table experience and has mapped core stories around the world with people seeking to overcome difficult childhood experiences in places like: Israel, India, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Guyana and the United States.
