DIRECTOR OF TEACHING
All of her life, Sara has been passionate about helping individuals. In the past 9 years, she has embraced the process of utilizing their Core Story as part of self awareness and development.
She believes that understanding one's story fosters greater compassion for oneself and others, and through better compassion for self one has greater ability to help others. Through Sara’s graduate work focusing on leadership development and social justice, she is formulating strategic initiatives to help those who help themselves and heal others. Sara Smith Ross holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master of Divinity from Lipscomb University.
For the past seven years, Sara has dedicated her career to working with marginalized women and children in downtown Knoxville, TN, serving as the Director of Community Life at Hope Central, Inc. In this role, she has utilized the Core Story Process to help women recognize their strengths developed through difficult circumstances and dismantle toxic beliefs. She now serves as the Director of Training for the Core Story Process, conducting seminars in cities such as Dallas, TX, Boston, MA, and Nashville, TN. Additionally, Sara has applied the Core Story tool with business executives and other professionals.
Sara is working closely with her father, Dr. Terry S. Smith to avail the Core Story process to underserved areas. She develops training materials for the Core Story process and excels in helping people reach their goals and dreams, demonstrating high levels of empathy and patience, especially when working with marginalized communities.
